Perfectly Imperfect
“… give yourself permission …”
I do not know who needs to hear this but, don’t continue to love the memory of who you used to be or should be. We need to understand that all creation especially mankind is imperfect and that’s okay. And give yourself permission to understand that flaw in all of us and humanity. Nevertheless, we should not try to avoid improving on that fact. Transforming from our own imperfect to perfect.
We must learn to trust our journey. To believe that we are doing our best. We are trying our best. Remember who we are – because we need to learn to love ourselves first then go out in the world and be a glimmer of hope. Because if we can do it for someone else, we can do it for ourselves. From the very beginning we were knitted to be exactly who we are meant to be today.
Encourage yourself to stretch and become more of who you were created to be towards loving and growing those around you. Don’t continue living in a system that is hurting and harmful just because the world, others, and internalized narratives says how it should be. We have a responsibility to ourselves to dig deeper trying to improve, flourish, and love ourselves.
We are led towards the ones most similar to our authentic selves — do not run or hide from it. Just be. Photo of just being.
Your perfectly made and loved even when we are running and hiding and barely breathing.
As we work towards becoming imperfectly perfect each person will have different difficulties and approaches of overcoming challenging moments on the road in becoming who we are meant to grow into. The important thing is to know for yourself what remedy is needed in a difficult moment.
Some of these tools for challenging moments might look like:
Unplug. Best way to recharge yourself is to unplug from the noise coming from the world while caring for your essentials needs and people such as daily needs, children and significant other.
Gratitude. Express one thing you were grateful for. One thing your currently grateful for. And one you’re looking forward to.
Intentional Living. Pause, reflect, and realign and live in a way that’s authentic to ourselves creating clarity and intentionality because a full day does not mean we are living a satisfied life.
Connect. We are all so unique and works so differently. Connect and share with those new and old around you to learn and try new healthy things. You will never know if they will work out for you.
Be a light. Bring more peace and healing into people’s hearts. Ask yourself these questions: What can I create in this world? What can I create in this pursuit? How can I help people heal and find their own purpose?
Choices. It is our little choices every day that adds more meaning and value to our life.
Hope and believe. Recognize the worth your created to be and what you’ve done so far in life. Believe you are already good enough and very much capable in making it come true. Have hope, believe, and give yourself permission that you’re allowed to be a masterpiece and a work in progress simultaneously.
As long as what you do can bring a positive outcome – start believing in yourself in Christ. Your perfectly made and loved even when we are running and hiding and barely breathing. You will always be perfectly love because you matter.
Trust your journey. You’re doing your best. You’re trying your best. Remember who you are – because you’re a child of God.
Every Christian should understand that they are imperfect - and that’s okay. It’s okay to understand that flaw. However, it’s not okay to avoid trying to improve on that fact. From Imperfection to Perfection.
“Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48 - NKJV)
Indeed, there is not a righteous person on earth who always does good and does not ever sin. (Ecclesiastes 7:20 - NASB)
